JJ's Cantina Presents .."Angler of the Year" Angler of the Year is a fishing tournament that is in 3 phases. This event is open to anyone. A donation of $10.00 is all it's cost to fish and have fun!
Fish eligible for prizes are; Black Sea Bass, Dolphin, Flounder, Grouper, Leather, Mackerel, Corvina, Pargo, Pinto, Pompano, Red Snapper, Sardinero, Sailfish, Sheepshead, Sea Trout, Shark,
Rabbitfish, Trigger, Yellow Tail and Calico. ** any fish caught from shore will win you prizes and trophies.
Phase l - February 12th, 13th, & 14th. Donation is $10.00
Phase ll - June 19th, 20th, & 21st
Phase lll - October 8th, 9th, & 10th.

Mardi Gras 2010! " A Sea of Dreams and Fantasies" Start the festival with "Carnaval Puerto Penasco" February 11th with the burning of bad humor, in Plaza Gobernadores on the Malecon, after a manifest along Benito Juarez Blvd.
From February 12th through February 16th on the Penasco del Sol Esplanade.
Festival Vehicle Parade - Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th , and Tuesday 16th starting at the baseball stadium and ending on the Penasco del Sol Esplanade along Calle 13.
Theater Play - Starring: Original Banda Limon, Duelo de Reinas, Juan Jose Navarro (with Mariachi).
Palenque - Inside the Esplanade
Horse Racing - In Taste Palo Verde
Food Stands - $2.50 us ($30 mx pesos) daily cost for admission to the fair and access tot he Theater Play.
Masquerade Ball dance - Februay 16th, This is a dance where everyone wears a mask. This event will take place in the "Great Room" at the Hotel Penasco del Sol. Name of the event "Scharamouch"
